Day 1 (Jan. 31st)
I.       INTRODUCTION

         A.  Safety concerns.

               1.   Types of potential injuries.

                     {ie: Electrical shock, burns, etc...}

               2.   “Non-Electrical” hazards.(insects/animals/environment)

B.     Rectifier fundamentals.

         C.  Troubleshooting fundamentals.

 II.     RECTIFIER TROUBLESHOOTING:
A.     Troubleshooting equipment.
B.     Rectifier component breakdown.
C.     Cause/effect of component failure.
D.     Potential hazards of components:
1.      Individual breakdown and discussion of each major component in rectifier.
{ie: breaker, transformer, stack, lightning arrestors, fuses, etc...}
2.      Types of potential hazards/injuries presented by each of major components.
{ie: AC voltage, DC voltage, electrical shock, burns, fire, etc...}
E.      Methods to reduce or eliminate potential injuries.
F.      Testing techniques for component troubleshooting.

Day 2 (Feb 1st)
IV.    Review:
         Review and open forum Q/A over “Day 1” materials.
 
V.     FIELD APPLICATION:
A.     Actual class participation in application of troubleshooting techniques on simulated Cathodic Rectifier installations.
B.     “Hands-On” testing of silicon diodes and modules.
B.Testing techniques for component troubleshooting.
 VI.    Wrap-Up & Close:
         A.  Class discussion of field application period.
         B.   Question and answers.
         C.  Review of class material:
                 1.  Troubleshooting.
                 2.  Electrical safety.
