Biography:
Stephen N. Smith
is a Technical Advisor for ExxonMobil Production Company, Central
Engineering in Houston, Texas. He
has worked in the area of corrosion control in oil and gas production for 30
years. He is a Professional
Engineer, a NACE Corrosion Specialist and recipient of the NACE Technical
Achievement Award. He has BS and
MS degrees in Metallurgical Engineering and has authored many papers in the
areas of cathodic protection and the mechanisms of corrosion in sour
production environments. He is
past Chairman and Trustee of the Houston Section and is currently the
Associate Technology Coordinator, N1 for the Oil and Gas Technology group of
the NACE Technical Coordination Committee.
