NACE is the largest society in the world devoted exclusively to the technologies needed to control the degradation of materials in engineering systems. For more than 50 years, NACE has led the corrosion field in training programs, standards development, and information dissemination. More than 15,000 engineers, scientists, technicians, managers, and sales representatives rely on NACE as a source of knowledge for professional growth.

As a member of NACE, you can make contacts that will help your career and your company. You will exchange ideas and discuss problems with people in virtually every industry. You will have opportunities to meet some of the world's leading experts in the field of corrosion.

By joining NACE you will keep current in an ever-changing, ever-expanding field. At the annual conference, you will exchange information and experiences with people from all industries while gaining valuable contacts in the field. You will also extend your professional skill and knowledge of corrosion technology through other Association activities, including seminars, short courses, annual conferences, region and section meetings, education programs, publications, and technical committee participation.

NACE members write standards for their particular industry that are referenced by industry and by government agencies as the consensus standards for corrosion control. They develop education and training programs that teach the latest corrosion control technologies. They conduct ground breaking research into new and better ways to prevent the deterioration of materials. And they publish books and articles on state-of-the-art corrosion control technologies.

The purpose of NACE International is to educate its members about corrosion and materials performance and protection. Our members are continually working to find better ways of addressing safety, life of materials, and designs for corrosion prevention and control.
