Pierre Crevolin
graduated from the
University
of
Alberta
in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering.
A Professional Engineer since 1973, Pierre lives in
Edmonton
,
Canada
, and has been a member of NACE since 1975.
From 1973 until 2002,
Pierre
has been a shareholder, officer, and employee for a number of service
companies in the areas of protective coatings and cathodic protection.
At various times throughout these years, all of these companies
were eventually sold to third parties, and hence
Pierre
has officially been “retired” since March/2002.
Throughout this career in
corrosion control,
Pierre
has been an active member of NACE International.
From 1975-80,
Pierre
held offices in the Edmonton Section, and from 1980-86, held offices in
the Canadian Region, being Director of the Canadian region from 1983-86.
Pierre
was the Canadian Region Career Development Chair, and from 1989-96, was a
member of various NACE committees (Awards, Policy, Education, Nominating,
Certification, Finance), and served as Chair of the Awards Committee from
1996-99, and Chair of the Finance Committee from 1999-2001.
Pierre
was the Vice President of NACE for the 2002-03 term, and President of NACE
for the 2003-04 term.
With the resignation of
Jeff Littleton
as Executive Director in January of 2004, at the expiry of
Pierre
’s term as President on April 2nd, the Board appointed Pierre Interim
Executive Director of NACE, a position he will hold until a permanent
Executive Director is hired.
