Title:
"Predicting the Corrosivity of High Acid Crudes"
Abstract:
"Due to high price of oil, it is becoming a necessity more than a
choice for refiners to run High Acid Crude (HAC). The presentation will
discuss the analytical tools available to predict if a HAC can be run as
is, which areas of the distillation unit will be at risk and what
changes are needed to run it (e.g. , change in blending, change in
process conditions, corrosion inhibitor addition, material upgrade) .
